Teri is everything you want out of a voice talent - a beautiful voice coupled with spot-on technical abilities, along with the intelligence and intuition needed to fully understand the nuances and goals of any script. I’ve had the good fortune to record Teri countless times over the course of my career and she has always given the client exactly what they were looking for every time.

She excels at dealing with copy changes inordinately well. For some, on-the-fly alterations to the script can throw off their rhythm or lead to inconsistencies in their performance from take to take. I’ve never seen her stumble in these situations.

 Happy Clients

Not only does she have a great voice, she can also quickly interpret copy, which is probably the most important ability a voice-over talent can have! Teri makes my job so much easier.

I should’ve known this would happen…

I mean ever since I was a kid, I have always wanted to be heard.  Growing up in a family of 6, even talking at the dinner table was a challenge!  As a kid I was kind of shy. I was an usher instead of an actor; the proverbial bridesmaid but never the bride.

In high school I was cast in my first play “Our Hearts were Young and Gay.” I nailed the audition by reading the french words ‘oui oui” as ooee ooee. They laughed ( I didn’t know why until later…) and a star was born.

Living in a rural area also led to…

reading books because after chores and Barbies, there was not a lot to do.  Every summer out on the farm, I would pour over the library “mail a book”catalogue. Then, my sisters and I would wait for our selections to arrive. It was as good as Christmas!

After high school in Ellsworth Wisconsin, I graduated from the University of St. Catherine in St. Paul, MN, with a degree in Communications/Telecommunications/and Theater.  Fast forward to today and, Hey look Ma, I am a voiceover artist! My love of reading and love of talking has led me to this moment. Aha, I will be heard!

I have worked for over 20 years in theater particularly musicals,

which has given me a good ear. There is a certain melody to the spoken word, and being a singer/musician, I can hear it. Theater is meant to evoke feelings, to tell stories we have in common, and some we don’t. To be an actor is to stir the soul.

It’s exciting to make a script come to life.  It makes me feel alive! The courage to try things…to take direction and honor my intuition…these are all skills developed in theater and also important in voiceover.

So, whether I am playing Donna in Mamma Mia, instructing you how to use hand sanitizer, or explaining pipeline safety, you better believe I will make your story heard.

At the end of the day I am a soul worker.  And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

ACTING

In addition to voiceover, I am also a stage actress.
